Delaware and Rising Sea Levels - Osher Class 5

Yes work has begun at the State and local levels to deal with rising sea levels, but up to this point, most of the work has been documenting the past history, coming up with estimates of what the future might have in store, and preparedness/coordination activities for planning and public safety.

Poseidon Undersea Resorts in Fiji

In class 1 we talked about moving underwater to escape rising sea levels. Well Poseidon Undersea Resorts is planning an undersea hotel in a lagoon on Fiji. Below are two images from their site. (Click on image to enlarge)


They do not give an expected completion date, but you can register to be notified. Clearly they have a for-profit motive, but their plans still mean the concept of living underwater is considered doable.
